One could say Jessi Reed’s career path is right on target.
The new Scheduling Assistant for CranstonIT has transitioned from a stay-at-home mom to a chaotic business environment and, essentially, little has changed.
Jessi was keeping small humans alive, active and on schedule while effectively running her household. Now she’s keeping larger humans connected, productive and on schedule while ensuring their technology is performing on point.
“With my kids finally in school, I can now devote myself to this opportunity,” explained Jessi, a mother of five- and eight-year old boys. “I know from my husband that CranstonIT has always offered a positive work environment that puts family first, so this provides the ideal balance I needed.”
Jessi and her husband Topher — a Custom Application Developer for CranstonIT — are long-time residents of Jacksonville, FL. Topher is known throughout the IT world for two distinctions — as an excellent FileMaker Developer and a master of Dungeons and Dragons.
In her new role, Jessi will monitor offsite data protection, email servers and malware reports for her assigned CranstonIT clients. By managing these processes daily, she can ensure IT environments are running smoothly and, soon, will schedule tech appointments when they are not. Jessi will also participate in quarterly audits to ensure clients are getting exactly the services they need.
Jessi has been a quick study. Mentored by Alissa McClelland, the company’s lead technician scheduler, Jessi is absorbing the technology landscape, the business requirements and the essential needs of her clients. In the days ahead, CranstonIT clients can expect to receive scheduling information from Jessi via phone or email.
Jessi claims she needs three things to master her new job. “Alissa’s patience, some time and plenty of caffeine.”
Outside of work, Jessi’s creative versatility shines through. She sews, alters cloths and designs custom bags and costumes. She dabbles with paint and creates with vinyl. She cooks and crushes video and tabletop games. And then there are those small humans to manage …
“I am still in awe I found a job so perfect for me,” Jessi said. “It caters to my skills, my co-workers are so kind and patient, and I still have the time to care for my family. Truly, it just doesn’t get any better than this.”
