In basketball, the point guard runs the show. It’s the most specialized role in the sport.
The point guard directs the team’s offense by controlling the ball and making sure it finds the right player at the right time. Dribbling. Distributing. Dishing.
Meet Tashara Morales, CranstonIT’s newest point guard.
Tashara was hired in November as the company’s Dispatcher. In this often chaotic role, she uses her excellent problem-solving, communication, and decision-making skills to manage, schedule, and dispatch the right technician to each client’s unique technology challenge.
In other words, Tashara troubleshoots. She scans the floor. Sizes up the opportunity. And then dishes off to her teammate best positioned to succeed.
“Actually, I’m pretty tech-savvy, so that certainly helps,” explained Tashara. “I’m the first person who speaks to a client, so it’s my job to understand and assess the issue as quickly and effectively as possible.”
Dispatching is not new to Tashara. She managed a similar role for a medical waste company for three years before joining CranstonIT. She accepted the position because of the “family atmosphere” and team-oriented philosophy that CranstonIT fosters.
Tashara also received world-class training in her first weeks on the job. Alissa McClelland served as Dispatcher for CranstonIT for seven years and became the “voice of the company” in the process. Alissa has since shifted to the Billing and Licensing Coordinator position, where she now manages licensing, invoicing, accounts receivables, and much more for CranstonIT.
“Alissa helped me tremendously with the tough questions,” Tashara said. “I pride myself on being a fast learner, but I also know how complex a client’s IT environment can be. Alissa is a great safety net to have when I need a quick consultation on a difficult network or multi-platform issue.”
Newlyweds Tashara and her husband Peter live in the Tampa Bay Area in Florida. When she’s not chilling on nearby Clearwater, St. Petersburg or Davis Beach, Tashara is an accomplished makeup specialist who helps her local friends and family look their very best.
“The best thing about my new job is the support of the team,” Tashara said. “Even though many of us work remotely, we’re all connected. I already love working for this company because everyone comes together to solve challenges for the benefit of the customer.”
The next time you call CranstonIT at 412-200-5656 with your IT challenge, please take a moment to welcome Tashara Morales. She’ll be the first friendly voice you’ll hear.
